Thermodynamic Conversations

The First Law of Thermodynamics;the First Law states that energy cannot be created or destroyed; rather, the amount of energy lost in a steady state process cannot be greater than the amount of energy gained.1

Second law of thermodynamics; In a simple manner, the second law states that "energy systems have a tendency to increase their entropy" rather than decrease it.

In simple terms, the Third Law states that the entropy of a pure substance approaches zero as the absolute temperature approaches zero. This law provides an absolute reference point for the determination of entropy. The entropy determined relative to this point is the absolute entropy.

Entropy is the only quantity in the physical sciences that "picks" a particular direction for time, sometimes called an arrow of time. As we go "forward" in time, the Second Law of Thermodynamics tells us that the entropy of an isolated system can only increase or remain the same; it cannot decrease. Hence, from one perspective, entropy measurement is thought of as a kind of clock.

I love feeling like I do right now! Drunk! Some of my fondest memories are of being drunk and out of control. I had some great times. Or so I’m told. The problem with having so many drunken good nights is that they fade away. Your mind begins to blend time and space. You become a ghost inside your own mind. Your memories lie to you, so you depend on the recollections of others (who were often more fucked-up than you were). The you that you know is not who they saw. But, they must be right/ Your memories are rose tented windows to a time that never existed. You saw rainbows and good times. Trips to the river, and picnics in the park. There were things you recall that no one else seems to remember. What they saw was some asshole barking orders that made no sense, and a monster unleashed. Tossing coffe tables, and ripping down chandeliers. Some where in between is your lost-self, and he ain’t ever coming back! So the self-medication continues. I need to smoke more weed. Weed brings out the little guy, who just wants to chill. My frontal lobe is backed up.

Modern day shamans shopping for porn,

The urethral made real

Chocolate pudding water slides,

The evil monkee chides

Viral animations, campaign for false science,

Sleep deprived monks made of iron

The wrong horse to ride,

Shadows play games outside

Violence is not revolution,

But it’s a start

Changing within the times,

not changing the times

The mind has no eyes, but one eye

Washed and put away

What else can a poor boy do?

This is not prophecy, but description

Recently it was brought to my attention that I have spent too much time expounding on the reasons you shouldn’t vote for Hillary. Not enough time telling you why you should vote for Barack. In an effort to correct this I have compiled a list of his accomplishments garnered from around the world wide web. I will follow this with a look at his plans for a better America. "America is woven of many strands; I would recognize them and let it so remain. It’s ‘winner take nothing’ that is the great truth of our country or of any country. Life is to be lived, not controlled; and humanity is won by continuing to play in face of certain defeat. Our fate is to become one, and yet many—This is not prophecy, but description."1

To start with, he was born in Hawaii in 1961, his father was a Kenyan student who met his American mother while they attended the same university. His father left his mother when he was but two years old. He later died in a car accident in 1982. Barack himself, graduated from Columbia University in 1983. After college he worked briefly for the Business International Corp. and something called the NYPIRG, before moving to Chicago to take a job as a community organizer. He became the director of the Developing Communities Project. There he worked with low-income residents in Chicagos public housing developments. “No body else running for president has jumped off the career track for three or four years to actually help people” says Jerry Kellman, who first hired Obama as a community organizer. In 1988 he left Chicago for Harvard where he would go on to become the first black president(foreshadowing), of the Harvard Law Review in it’s 104 year history. He graduated magnum cum laude from Harvard in 1991. Obama then returned to Chicago to direct a voter registration drive. An effort that added tens of thousands of people to the rolls. the bills though he took an associate attorney position with the firm Miner, Barnhill and Galland from 1993 to 96. There he represented community organizers, discrimination claims, and voting rights cases. Obama also worked on a case of a young whistle-blower who lost her job after exposing waste and corruption in a medical research project. That whistle-blower won a $5 million settelment. He also found time to lecture constitutional law at the University of Chicago from 1993 up until his election to the US. Senate in 2004. Obama also suffered the loss of his mother to Ovarian Cancer in 1995. The same year he published his first best selling memoir “Dreams of My Father”.

In 1996 Barack was elected to Illinois State Senate, when Democrats where a minority. He was reelected in 1998 and 2002 resigning in 2004 following his election to the US. Senate. His Illinois Senate accomplishments have been largely ignored. By the kind of Washington snobbery that doesn’t take state legislatures seriously. As a state legislator he gained bipartisan support for legislation he sponsored. Obama’s accomplishments are more substantial and varied than Hillary Clinton would dare suggest. He has a longer record in elected office than she does as a second term New York Senator. He helped pass complicated measures in the Illinois State legislature on death penalty, racial profiling, health care, and more. He particularly had success in passing legislation that sharply restricted the gifts that Illinois politicians could accept from lobbyist. The Gift Ban act was the first major new restriction in Illuinois notoriously weak ethics laws since Watergate. When the Dems gained majority in the Senate, Obama’s political mentor, Senate President Emil Jones, gave him high profile assignments, including continuous issues involving police videotaping interrogations and racial profiling. Obama proposed requiring that interrogations and confessions be videotaped. The police proved to be his biggest opponents, but by showing officers that he shared many of their concerns, even going as far as helping to pass other legislation that they wanted, he was able to silence any fears they had. The bill passed both houses by 35 to 0. He played a major role in passing many other bills, including the state’s first earned-income tax credit to help the working poor. One Republican State Senator remarked that “Barack had a way both intellectually and in demeanor that defused skeptics.”

Obama began as only a part-time state Senator in that he served in the Illinois legislature at the same time he practiced law. He became a full time state lawmaker in 1997, a full four years before Hillary’s entrance into “elected” office. The health-care legislation, in which Obama helped shepherd through the Illinois Senate helped expand coverage to 70,000 children and 84,000 adults. It also made permanent Illinois’ Kid Care program, raisining the eligibility rate from 185% to 200% of the federal poverty level. He was the chief sponsor of the Hospital report Card Act, a bill that provides requirements for staffing level nurses to ensure that the number of nurses is consistent with the types of nursing care needed and the capabilities of the staff. The bill also contained requirements for orientation, training, whistle blower protection and requires hospitals to prepare a quarterly report detailing specific information as a condition of licensor. Obama said “If I wanted to go eat out in a restaurant, I can go online and find out details about the number and type of health code violations a restaurant has been cited for…But if I need to go to a hospital for open heart surgery I can’t find out what the surgical infection rate has been in that hospital. I’d say a lot more is at stake when I go for surgery than when I go out to diner.” Along with his Law on video taping interrogation, he also passed a overhaul of the Death penalty in Illinois. Obama was the Chief cosponsor of a bil that let judges rule out the death sentence for someone convicted solely on the testimony of a jail house informant, accomplice, or single witness. It also aloud the State Supreme Court to overturn a death sentence that is ruled fundamentally unjust, and reduces the crimes eligible for the death penalty by focusing on “Inherently violent” offenses. The bill also expands defendants access to genetic evidence used against them, and bans police officers from the force if they commit perjury in a murder case. It also requires juries to consider the defendants history of abuse or mental illness before imposing a death sentence. Along with those two he also was the chief sponsor in a bill that requires law enforcement in Illinois to record the race, age, and gender of all drivers they stop for traffic violations. To be analyzed by IDOT for evidence of racial profiling and then sent to the Governor. The Bill also incorporated the racial and ethnic sensitivity training for all law enforcement personnel.

In 2003 Obama began his run for the US. Senate and in November he received 70% of the vote, the largest electoral victory in Illinois history. Obama wrote and delivered the keynote address at the 2004 Democratic National Convention in Boston, Massachusetts while serving as a state legislator. The speech was his introduction to America as a whole. It’s enthusiastic reception gave him instant celebrity status. He was sworn in as a Senator on January 4, 2005. Only the fifth African American Senator in United States History, and the third to be popularly elected. He is currently the only African American currently serving in the US. Senate. During his campaign he received the endorsement of the Illinois Fraternal Order of Police whom had been some of his toughest opponents.

When Obama was elected to the US. Senate, he said he wished to get things done rather than grab headlines, and cited Hillary Clinton as the sort of “workhorse” he wanted to be. Barack sponsored 152 bills and resolutions brought before the 109th Congress in 2005 and 2006, and cosponsored another 427. He took a active role in the drive for improved border security and immigration reform. Beginning in 2005 he cosponsored the Secure America and Orderly Immigration Act”, introduced by Republican Presidential hopeful, Senator John McCain. He later added three amendments to the Comprehensive Immigration Reform Act” sponsored by Senator Arlen Specter. In September 2006 Obama supported a related bill called “The Secure Fence Act”, authorizing construction of fencing and other improvements in border security. President Bush signed the Secure Fence Act into law in October of 2006. Obama successfully introduced two initiatives bearing his name. “Lugar-Obama” bill expands the cooperative threat reduction concept to conventional weapons, including shoulder-fired missiles and anti-personnel mines. The “Coburn-Obama Transparency Act” provides for a web site, managed by the Office of Management and Budget, listing all organizations receiving Federal funds from 2007 onward. It also provides breakdowns by the agency allocating the funds, the dollar amount given, and the purpose of the grant or contract. As a member of the Senate foreign Relations Committee, Obama made official trips to Eastern Europe, the Middle east, and Africa. In August 2005, he traveled to Russia, Ukraine, and Azerbaijan. The trip focused on strategies to control the world’s supply of conventional weapons, biological weapons, and weapons of mass destruction as a first line of defense against potential terrorist attacks. Following meetings with US military in Kuwait and Iraq in January 2006, Obama visited Jordan, Israel, and Palestine. At a meeting with Palestinian students two weeks before Hamas won the legislative election, he warned that “the United States will never recognize winning Hamas candidates unless the group renounced its fundamental mission to eliminate Israel.” In December of 2006, President Bush signed into law the first federal legislation to be enacted with Barack Obama as its primary sponsor, the “Democratic Republic of Congo Relief, Security, And Democracy Promotion Act”.

In the very first month of the newly Democrat controlled 110th Congress, Barack worked to eliminate gifts by lobbyist to members of Congress, and require disclosure of campaign contributions under the “Honest Leadership and Open Government Act.”. Which was signed into law in September 2007. He also sponsored a bill to criminalize deceptive practices in federal elections, including fraudulent flyers and automated phone calls, as was the case in the 2006 midterm elections. Environmentalist welcomed his sponsorship with John McCain of a climate change bill that would reduce greenhouse gas emmisons up to two-thirds by 2050. Obama was an early opponent of the Bush administrations policies on Iraq. In the Fall of 2002, (before the start of the Iraq War), he addressed an anti-war rally in Chicago, saying: “I know that an invasion of Iraq without a clear rationale and without strong international support will only fan the flames of the Middle East, and encourage the worst, rather than best, impulses of the Arab world, and strengthen the recruitment arm of al-Qaeda. I am not opposed to all wars. I’m opposed to dumb wars.”2 Obama also introduced the “Iraq War De-Escalation Act”, a bill to cap troop levels in Iraq, and begin phased redeployment. The bill would also remove all combat brigades from Iraq before April 2008. Later in 2007, Obama sponsored an amendment to the 2008Defense Authorization Act” adding safe Guards for military discharges, and calling for a review by the Government Accounting Office, following reports that the procedure had been used inappropriately. He sponsored the “Iran Sanctions Enabling Act”, supporting divestment of state pension funds from Iran’s oil and gas industry. And joined Republicans in introducing legislation to reduce risk of nuclear terrorism. A provision from the Obama-Hagel bill was passed by Congress in December 2007 as an amendment to the State-Foreign Operations appropriations bill. Obama also sponsored a Senate amendment to the State Children’s Health Insurance Program, to provide one year of job protection for family members caring for soldiers with combat related injuries. After passing both houses of Congress with bipartisan majorites, SCHIP was vetoed by President Bush in early October of 2007, a move Obama said “…shows a callousness of priorites that is offensive to the ideals we hold as American.” The experience Obama brings to the table has already enabled him to surpass the US. Senate accomplishments of both Hillary and John Edwards combined. It’s a record of success in bridging differences in the very same moving vein as his speeches.

Bush-Clinton?

Is this what you want? Is this what anyone wants? I for one damn sure don’t want it! You have the power t stop it! As a convicted felon I do not have a voice in most states elections. Missori seems to be one of the few in which I do ( although I failed to register in time for the primaries-damn!). I will hopefully be able to register in California when I get there, just in time for the real thing. I do not wish to see the ballet to be Clinton v/s Huckabee or Arkansas v/s Arkansas. I do not want more of the same old politics of the last twenty years. It’s time we broke the mold and defied tradition.

We are coming to an end of one awful president now their trying to shove another one down our throats. It’s not because she’s a woman. I was raised by women, I have two sisters, I am engaged to a woman. As much as they try to make this a women versus men issue. We should not be distracted from the facts and the real issues. Though the Clinton White House was no where as blatant as the Bush Administration let us not forget Waco, Kosovo, NAFTA, the creation of the World Trade Organization. The failed attempts to push a national health-care system. Billy Clint was the one who imposed embargoes on Iraq and let us not forget White Water. Although most of Clinton’s involvement in the Whitewater scandal took place while Bill was governor of Arkansas. Whitewater is the name given to the alleged banking and real estate scandals of the Clinton’s and their friends. After money loss and a failed real estate venture, an illegal method to recover the losses was conceived. The scandal involved the Clinton’s allegedly pressuring Arkansas Small Business Administration (SBA) worker David Hale into making an SBA loan to Madison Guaranty Savings and Loan. The money from the loan was then funneled out with cashier checks and personal accounts (many under false names) to pay for the Clinton’s debts from the failed Whitewater land project. In other words, tax dollars bailed Billy and Hillary out of a financial crisis after illegal means were used to acquire them. Soon after Clinton lawyer Vince Foster committed suicide under mysterious circumstances, his office was cleared out. Along with his office went the Whitewater billing records and several key pieces of evidence. Evidence suggests that Clinton associate Bernard Nussbaum purposely delayed access to the office to investigators. Not to mention the mysterious suicide in which there is some hint that evidence was tampered with. Witnesses have testified they saw Clinton aides clearing the supposedly sealed office. Years after they had disappeared from Vince fosters office, subpoenaed Whitewater billing records appeared in the White House. In January of 1996 an aide stumbled across them sitting on a table in the White House. They couldn’t have been sitting their all these years unnoticed. Hillary’s finger prints were on them. And you thought that the days of Enron would be behind us. There are numerous scandals under the Clinton Administration part 1. And the tax cuts and corporate favors will continue under Hillary’s reign. Straight from the horse’s mouth;

"We’re not coming to you, many of whom are well enough off that actually the tax cuts may have helped you, and say ‘we’re going to give you more.’ We’re saying, ‘you know what, for America to get back on track and be fiscally responsible, we’re probably going to cut that short and not give it to you. We’re going to take things away from you on behalf of the common good."

As for the war! Let’s not forget that she voted for it and stood behind it up until only a few weeks ago. The lack of weapons of mass destruction in Iraq contradicts years of intelligence indicating Saddam had such weapons, which also was the conclusion of officials in the Clinton administration. Though now she contends to bring the troops home withing sixty days. Which is just plain ridiculous above and beyond any sane estimate. Do you think any president could end a five year occupation in just 60 days? And why would she when she said this;

"The consensus was the same, from the Clinton administration to the Bush administration," she said. "It was the same intelligence belief that our allies and friends around the world shared.

"But I think that in the case of the [Bush] administration, they really believed it. They really thought they were right, but they didn’t let enough sunlight into their thinking process to really have the kind of debate that needs to take place when a serious decision occurs like that."

So why should we believe Hillary on any of the issues. This is not change in any messaure it is plain old poloticin’ as we say back home. There will be very little difference between the first Clinton era and the next if we don’t stop it now! More of the same bullshitting and corruption. Though this time the cum stained dress will be on the President herself!

"If you vote for my husband, you get me; it’s a two-for-one, blue plate special."

Hillary is up to Bills old tricks again!

01/18/08

Hillary is up to Bills old tricks again! Locked in a statistical dead heat with Barack Obama and John Edwards just before Saturday’s Nevada Caucuses. With Nevada’s sizeable Hispanic, Union, and Urban voters. Hillary is scared! Party officials are hoping for 40.000 voters to turn out, while just four years ago the record was 9,000. That’s still only 10 percent of the states registered Dems. But last Friday, six Democrats and a teachers Union whom have ties to the Clinton campaign filed suit to shut down Democratic Caucuses being held in nine casinos along the Vegas strip. The special locations are designed to make it easier for housekeepers, waitresses and bellhops in the states biggest industry to vote at midday rather than returning to their neighborhood precincts.

The rules were unanimously approved by the Dems across the state last March and ratified by the National committee in August. The issue sited in the law suit stated that they unfairly allocated too many delegates to one group. We all no which group that is. The non-white group. Which was fine with old Hill until Obama got the endorsement of the Culinary Union last Sunday.. The groups 60,000 members make it the largest Union in the state and nearly 40 percent of it’s members are Hispanic. Obama told reporters Monday in Reno; “Obviously the notion that some of the same people who helped to put this together are now challenging it in the wake of the Culinary endorsement is a little troublesome.” The plaintiffs are the Nevada State Education Association, and it’s president, Lynn Wayne and five others including Debbie Cahill, the deputy executive director of the teachers union are Clinton supporters and members of the campaigns Nevada’s Womens Leadership Council. Two leading partners of the law firm handling the suit have donated to Clinton n the past. Not to mention that Clinton ally and former Rep. Jim Bilbary is an attorney at the firm.

Let’s not forget that 1989 a three-judge District Federal Court held Bill Clinton’s state-wide legislative reapportionment plan violated Section 2 of the Voting Rights Act of 1965. And that in 1990 the Supreme Court of the United States found in the case of Clinton vs Jeffers that the former Arkansas Governor and President had violated the Voting Rights Act. The Justices findings were-and Bill Clinton did not dispute here-that "violations of the fourteenth or fifteenth amendment justifying equitable relief have occurred in Arkansas." In 1990, the district court turned to those claims, holding that "the State of Arkansas has committed a number of constitutional violations of the voting rights of black citizens." In particular, the court determined that the "State has systematically and deliberately enacted new majority-vote requirements for municipal offices, in an effort to frustrate black political success in elections traditionally requiring only a plurality to win." Also in 1990, devotion to majority rule for local offices lay dormant as long as the plurality system produced white office-holders. Yet, whenever black candidates used this system successfully (and victory by a plurality has been virtually their only chance of success in at-large elections in majority-white cities) the response was swift and certain. Laws were passed in an attempt to close off this avenue of black political victory. The court therefore concluded that; “This series of laws represents a systematic and deliberate attempt to reduce black political opportunity. Such an attempt is plainly unconstitutional. It replaces a system in which blacks could and did succeed, with one in which they almost certainly cannot. The inference of racial motivation is inescapable.”

And here we have Hillary 18 years later playing one of Billy Boy’s old tricks. As if we’d forget. As if the information isn’t out there for us to grab. This isn’t the nineties anymore we the people have the internet and Hillary is screwed! These are the acts of a desperate yet calculated opponent. Obama, himself made the most profound statement in all this mess; “You don’t win an election (and you don’t serve democracy) by trying to keep people out! You’re supposed to try to bring people in and encourage everybody to get involved.”

why am I going on and on about politics?

01/16/08

So Hillary won Michigan last night. Not so fast, you may wonder why Obama and Edwards weren’t even on the ballot. I too had no idea,so this morning I looked it up. The peculiar contest resulted from the hard line taken by the Democratic National Committee against Michigan’s rule-breaking Jan. 15 primary date, which ultimately led to the national party’s revocation of all 156 of the state’s delegates to the party’s August national convention. The DNC’s demand that most states, including Michigan, stick to a Feb. 5 starting date for the presidential nominating process prompted Illinois Sen. Barack Obama and former North Carolina Sen. John Edwards—Clinton’s chief rivals for the nomination—to withdraw their names from the ballot. It seems that there was adust up over when some states could hold their primaries. It seems odd that the Dems would do this knowing that the decision could cost them votes in the general election and ultimately loose them that state for good. It seems like a shot in the foot and this is not the time for foot shooting boys and girls. We have on our hands a momentous occasion the chance to finally elect either a woman or a black man (ahem) as President of the United Fucking States of God Damn America. In the immortal words of the one true God WHOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

I know, I know, why am I going on and on about politics? I’m supposed to be an anarchist right? I’m supposed to be more interested in the destruction of the state rather than the prolonging of these outmoded institutions. How can I walk around with Chaos and Anarchy tattooed on my arms and wave a banner for some politician. The answer is simple. Because I can. Because the revolution hasn’t come yet. Because I watched as a inbred psychopath led this country to its doom and no one (not even me) did anything to stop him. Bombs did not go off, there weren’t riots in the streets. The public out cry was muffled by a few douche bags pointing fingers and calling decenter s Un-American! I watched the last eight years as every one of us became more cowardly and our voice became weaker. I still believe in Anarchy as the solution to mankind’s illness. I still see that illness as society itself, and I still believe in destroying social structures in order to rebuild civilization from the ground up. But there has to be steps taken in order for that to happen and in the mean time while the thirteen point plan is unfolding, I have decided to cast my lot in with the current hoopla over this presidential election. I know you’re thinking that none of this matters and no matter who gets into the White house it’s going to be business as usual. Yet, can you deny that this would be a different world had Gore won in 2000. Would this be a different place if Hillary wins over Obama. How can any of us take that chance. I don’t want to think of the difference we could have made had we not been so opposed to the system that we aloud it to run all over us. Now if I’m wrong, and I could very well be, I will never participate in another election again. If this turns out to be more of the same bull crap from any of these people, then I will don my black suit and again take up arms. I have not forgotten my radical roots. I have not forsaken Anarchy for this pusedo-democracy. I have simply learned that all avenues must be explored in order to effect change. We can not limit ourselves because of our prejudices. We have to something and now is the time!

With that said I have included a list of primaries below. No matter what state you are in please register, and please stop Hillary from gaining the nomination and possibly the White House. We can not afford more of the same. It is time for a new voice and a new vision for this country. Before it’s too late.
